Bistro St. Germain
"A new awesome café in the city centre! Its philosophy reminded me of Shtoor (#111), in both places it was a quite evident that the owners intended to create a place without the "typically Slovak" features - a place where you will be spoiled, that would offer the best home-made treats, without having the waiters gazing at you and all this in a very cozy atmosphere. It gave me kind of the impression of a doll house surrounded by accumulated vintage goods and books. The waitress, probably afraid that she won't be kind enough, was overly sweet. And the tall art nouveau heater totally rules! To my surprise it also has all the pipes - it's not just a silly decoration:) They have a fabulous ginger and lavender lemonade, everything comes in these pretty glasses, with cute tiny little biscuits, a strong sour cherry cake, simply a fab place for girly chitchat. The menu also offers some bites to eat, along with the cakes, baguettes, soups and quick snacks at also lists a home-made aspic."
