Relief by Juraj Meliš

» It is a rather tucked-away cycle of reliefs about the history of Bratislava by the sculptor Juraj Meliš. It is near the train station. It is so visible that people tend to ignore it completely. There is everything from the Great Moravia up until some kind of working class periodical called the Hammer, etc. There are different structures, textures and references, which can be decoded only by the next generations of illuminati and the vendors who are occupying part of the relief… I like the brutality of the relief and also its attempt at being informative. «
